2. Understand The “Search Intent”
Keywords are important, but why is the person searching?
- If they search “What is SEO?”, they want to learn.
- If they search “SEO Consultant for SMBs”, they want to hire someone.
With these above scenarios, If you try to sell to someone who just wants to learn, they’ll leave your site immediately. You have to match your content to their goal.
3. Prove You Know Your Stuff (EEAT)
Google wants to show experts. This is what they call EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness).
Instead of just writing generic articles, I always suggest adding your own data, personal stories, or specific case studies.
Don’t just explain “What is SEO”, show how it helped real clients grow their businesses.
Basically, organic SEO results are the product of two things:
- How well optimized your website is.
- Search volume of keywords on which you rank.
Website optimization begins with keeping your website’s technical information accurate and improving the overall performance of your website.
After you have set up the overall framework of your site, you need to optimize it for mobile-first, then for desktop; this will help eliminate issues related to poor user experience as well as errors on certain devices.
An “Average Monthly Search Volume” factor also works in this as it refers to the frequency of occurrence of a keyword being searched through Google.
For example, if you have a keyword with a search volume of 1,000, it means Google is showing the keyword in the search results 1,000 times per month.
The greater the search volume, the higher the number of impressions for your keyword. This factor shows whether your SEO is effective.
If you want to increase your search volume, it means you have to align your content relevancy and usefulness to the visitors they may want from your website or product offering.
Then, optimize your site content and blog posts with relevant key-phrases so that it can be found by people who might want your services.
By improving your content using essential key terms, you will be able to rise up in search engine rankings and be located by more prospective customers when searching for services similar to yours.
